HOPE is a Social Skills intervention service intended for individuals who are interested in learning ways to help them make and keep friends. Our program includes individually tailored goals which address each individual's unique needs. In addition to our individual goals, HOPE also focuses on weekly group didactic lessons which include concrete rules and steps needed to understand and engage in appropriate social behavior. During each group session the group members are taught important social skills and are given the opportunity to practice these skills during role play and in-vivo opportunities. Caregivers are debriefed after each individual or group session and are regularly given homework assignments and handouts to understand the didactic lessons being taught. Caregivers are expected to understand their Teen’s individual and group goals and how to maintain them after intervention is completed.
